When the past catches us back!

Photographs are sometimes like a £10 note. You think you are broke until you check your pockets before a laundry and you are suddenly a £10 wealthier man. This is somehow what happened here.

Being presently on holiday I decided to do some Autumn cleaning in my Lightroom edit folders when I feel onto the photos of my 2013 summer holidays in France. I must admit I am very bad at editing my holiday photos generally speaking. Little did I remember the shots I had made of a childhood friend’s girlfriend: Carole. This was one of those unexpected shoots where nothing is planned, but the mood takes the lead. Reviewing the produced work yesterday I decided to check what I could do with them and here are the two resulting photographs:

Portrait of a french lady

f5.6, 1/250, ISO 100

2nd portrait of a french lady

f11, 1/250, ISO 100

If there is anything to learn from this is not to be hasty with the delete button and also revisit your old work some time to time since what may not have inspired you back then may well be holding some value today.
